Belt Tank
The Belt Tank is Mikra’s efficient collection and cooling tank solution for raw material handling in fresh white fish processing. Designed primarily for onboard use on fresh fish trawlers, it combines simple and reliable mechanics with smart discharge technology to keep production flowing smoothly and efficiently.
Effective collection and cooling of raw material at the earliest stage of processing is essential to maintaining product quality and supporting downstream operations. The Belt Tank addresses this with a straightforward yet innovative design, a slack conveyor belt lies at the bottom of the tank during filling, collecting raw material gently as it accumulates. When it is time to empty the tank, the electric motor winds the belt onto an axle, stretching it and allowing the raw material to slide out cleanly and efficiently.
Available as a single unit or in multi-bay configurations, the Belt Tank is suited to a wide range of onboard layouts and throughput requirements, and can be integrated with other control systems for fully connected production management.
What the Belt Tank is used for
The Belt Tank is used for the collection and cooling of fresh white fish onboard trawlers, where reliable raw material handling and efficient emptying are critical to maintaining product quality and production flow. The belt discharge system ensures gentle handling during filling and fast, controlled emptying when the tank is ready to be cleared.
The system is available with a control interface offering multiple connection options to other control systems, allowing it to be integrated seamlessly into existing onboard production management setups.
